Diddohls was originally written for a line that was progressing nicely but needed some "back to basics love" with their diddle technique. At first glance it's a "simple" diddles exercise, but when examined closer one can find a few things that set it apart from "simple." Changing meters, upbeat passages and multiple difficultly levels for the tenors and basses (they each get three different versions) are the biggest differentiators of this piece. In that regard it's almost like you're getting 2 or 3 exercises in 1! Whether you've got a new line or a developing line with stronger performers in some sections, this exercise was designed to grow with your performers and ensembles.
